Hugo Lloris captained France to a comfortable 4-1 win. He could have done better for the goal admittedly, but it meant nothing in the end. Overall, a good display from Lloris.

Argentina did not play well against Saudi Arabia as they fell short. Romero conceded two goals in quick concession before the defender was rightly subbed off. He will look to improve in the next match.
Wales played a back three against USA, Ben Davies played the entire 90 minutes and despite conceding a goal, looked good for his country. A 1-1 draw to kick off the group stage in a hotly contested group for Wales.
Pape Sarr was on the bench for the entirety of Senegal’s 2-0 loss to Netherlands.
Harry Kane played an important 75 minutes for England, picking up two assists and captaining his side to a landmark opening win. Eric Dier also featured from the bench, playing well as he almost scored himself.
